BNPD MAKES ARREST IN COMMERCIAL BURGLARY
Benton Police Department responded to A2Z Collision in reference to a breaking or entering in progress at approximately 10:30 p.m. Wednesday. The suspect, identified as 36-year-old David Welch of Benton, was apprehended at the scene.

Benton Police Department responded to a call of shots fired at approximately 7 a.m. Wednesday at McDonald’s- 20726 I-30. Upon arrival, officers discovered a female victim suffering from a gunshot wound. She was transported to an area hospital in unknown condition. The suspect, 59-year-old Lawrence Parrin, of Benton, had fled the scene.


Eighteen-year-old Catrell Wallace, of Bryant, turned himself in at the Saline County Jail early Monday morning in reference to felony warrants for Sexual Assault 2nd Degree and Tampering. The incident leading to these charges reportedly occurred during the early morning hours on January 1.
