BNPD DETECTIVES ARREST SEX OFFENDER FOR VIOLATION OF REGISTRATION LAW
Recently, detectives with the Benton Police Department obtained information that a registered sex offender living in the city, Bobby Poe (45 YOA), had possibly violated the registration law set forth in their release.
On 11/21/14, officers with the Benton Police Department took a report of a theft from an address on Rosewood Drive. The victim in the case advised that items had been stolen, including jewelry and prescription medication.
On 1/25/15, officers with the Benton Police Department met with a victim about a theft and fraud case that took place on Hickory Ridge.
On 12/22/14, officers with the Benton Police Department took a report of a burglary at an address on Freedom Cove. The victim in the case advised that items had been stolen, including jewelry and a debit card.
The Benton Police Department is launching the “Community Church Policing” initiative for the month of February. This initiative will focus on reaching out to faith based organizations in the community to help make them secure places to worship and to develop good rapport.
