BAUXITE MAN ON BOND FOR DRUG CHARGES LANDS BACK IN JAIL WITH MORE DRUG CHARGES
Detectives with the Benton Police Department/Saline County Sheriff’s Office Special Investigations Unit served a warrant at 3601 Bauxite Cutoff Road in Bauxite on Friday, Feb. 3 and arrested a suspect who was out on bond for multiple felony drug charges.
At approximately 6:40 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 5, 2017, 20-year-old Courtney Zyronne Johnson II escaped from Rivendell Behavioral Health Services in Benton after being transferred there by the Lonoke County Sheriff’s Office. Johnson was last seen running behind Dogwood Lakes Apartments, which is located at 1907 Arkansas Highway 5.
Lt. Don Robertson and Sgt. Jeremy Riedmueller received recognition from the Office of the Secretary of Defense as being a “Patriotic Employer” in showing support for officers who are also members of the military.
Benton Police Chief Kirk Lane joined with Little Rock Police Department Chief Kenton Buckner and Pulaski County Sheriff Doc Holladay on Wednesday, Feb. 1 to announce the launch of “Fight Crime: Invest in Kids” program.
The Benton Police Department is launching the “28-Days of Hide & Seek” initiative for February, which will be focusing on serving officers serving warrants with emphasis on felony warrants. The BNPD will use investigative research tools and work with other law enforcement agencies to locate suspects to serve their warrants.
